Nothing I didn't know already, but I figured maybe it's time she gets a little recognition!! Peat (Brenda Mossman) and I have an open we're fishing next weekend up on China Lake, just outside Augusta, Maine. We prefished it yesterday, and man, did she put us on fish!

Now, Brenda IS a registered Maine guide, does both fishing AND hunting trips, and is just as good at what she does for either one (atleast one member of the club would attest to that after she led him to a nice bull moose last year).

Here are just a few of the highlights from yesterday. If we can do HALF as good as we did yesterday, we'll do well in the tourney:

Started out first thing in the morning, Brenda had caught a couple of 2 pounders, and then, on back to back casts, I found this 2 pound smallie and 3 pound largemouth:






We must have been in a "honey hole", because we caught several more that size before we left-- figured maybe we shouldn't "stick" ALL the fish there before next week!

Then, about an hour later, I was introduced to this "little" lady:

Later on, about midafternoon, it was Brenda's turn, pulling this 5 plus pounder off a tree:



By the time all was said and done, between our best 8 fish, we would've been somewhere in the mid to high 20's on weight. Might not seem like alot for folks down south, but up here, it's an accomplishment!
