For most it's been a very slow season same as mine started out for fluke. Tons of shorts but no keepers. I found some hot areas and keyed in on them. Limited out 3 days in a row.
CM want to come get your hat handed to you fluke fishing?

That's a fish fry in the making, right there, mister!
Years ago, I went to college in Southampton L.I., and my room mate and I used to go to the inlet to Shinnecock Bay to fish for fluke and flounder. More than once we fed our "condo" with breaded pan fried flounder. Good stuff, and good times! _________________ Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right! |

Simple beer batter: 1 Sam A and cup or so of flour for batter. Dip fluke filets and fry in 365 degree peanut oil for 3 minutes. mmmmmmmmmm
My family’s favorite fish. Yesterday I fired up the turkey fryer. Started off with Buff wings, then fish, then choc chip and Oreo dipped and fried. Then the Pizza freet or fried dough as you non New England Italians would call it. Silly goodness.
Still filling the boat every time out. Out fished every boat around us each day. Secret bait.
Took my neighbor out. He has had many boats in the past. Said he never caught so many Fluke. We caught over 75 fish in just over 3 hrs.
