Those are some excellent pictures Shane....the formating changed and they look even better, did you get a new camera or is it just the way you formatted them on your machine?

Some of them would make excellent prints to frame for the wall.

I will leave rude commentary about snapping your carrot stix up to Spinner.

six pounds 10 OUNCES dear one, six pounds ten ounces. Wink

I didn't get a picture, they were doing the weigh in on the opposite side of 302 ....imagine dodging traffic on the causeway doing 55mph with a full bag of fish ....a rather twisted version of "Frogger". Shocked
I was down the bank holding my boat off the rocks while my partner weighed his (the scale broke down again...they had to use Scott's hand scale) then he held the boat while I waddled across. I only heard about it after the fact never even saw it.
That launch ramp seriously needs a dock or something so people and boats don't get ground to hamburg on the boulder rip rap waiting to load their boats.

Peat
I have been taking the same pics with the same camera. The differance is I read the manual and am using the photo editing tools that come in photobucket(where I store my photos) www.photobucket.com

The main thing I did was apply "Saturation" to my photos.

Well thank goodness you read the manuals!!! Wink

Those shots are awesome, like I said they'd make really nice framed prints for the household decor....but I'd have to fish with you first to have reason to frame them otherwise people might think I'm a stalker a la Spinner Very Happy

I continued my shut out at Loxahatchee Preserve. I hope that when i do break out it will be a hog. I had Dan from JD's Custom Baits with me today. He caught a few good bass up to 5#'s on his Monster Worms. Dan grew up on this body of water fishing with his dad. He knew the place like the back of his hand. It was a good thing because I was lost as soon as we punched into the sawgrass trails. I have to say that Loxahatchee Preserve is an incredible water shed and it looks like every cast should produce a big bass.

Italian newlyweds, Domenico and Barbara were my guest in the glades today. Domenico is an avid bass fisherman back in Italy so he was really looking forward to this trip. He had never caught allot of bass and had never had any size so he was very pleased to catch so many fish and some really good ones to boot. Barbara had the hot stick for several hours before she retreated to the rear of the boat for some rest and relaxation. Funny thing is that she would not touch the fish no matter what. She caught some good ones but would not hold them for a picture. We were covered up by gators all day, but neither Domenico or Barbara ever flinched. Domenico told me that this everglades trip was exactly what he dreamed it would be.

I used to fish the scottsmoor area every afternoon, but have not fished it since 1991. I was in Titusville for the day and was fortunate to meet up with Garry Amos Jr. for a couple of hours on the flats. The afternoon was getting blown out with S.E. wind gust to 20 mph, makeing fishing pretty tough. We pulled the plug and headed back to the launch. Not too far from the landing we see reds pushing next to a small island. We stoped and made a few cast. I hooked into this one and Garry hooked into another one. This was my first red in over 10 years. Thanks Garry!

PostPosted: Sun Sep 05, 2010 8:53 pm    Post subject: Broward County Snake Head 9-5-10 Reply with quote

Got the call from Dan and Jason from JD'sCustomBaits that the snakehead bite was hot. I was a back seater on Garrys cool lil skiff for most of the morning fishing somewhere in western broward county...I was lost most of the day. Jason and Dan had 3-4 fish in the cooler before I got my first fish. It hit like a snook and fought like a mudfish. Tipped the scales over 5#'s. Later in the day I picked up another one that was 4.5#'s with a couple of 4# bass to sweeten the deal. Jason and Dan boated 6-8 and a couple of good ones as well.

As fun as these fish were to catch, this was a very alarming day for me. I strongly believe that our fresh water fishery is in trouble and something must be done to kill all non native species of fish. This fish is coming to your favorite body of water in the near future.
